his piece was commissioned as a retirement gift for a former student at Westcott House who went on to be a Bishop.
It is now available as a print which is hand finished with 23 carat Gold leaf. The verses were selected as they all reflect a calling to the priesthood.
The one who calls you is faithful - Thessalonians 5:24.
I have called you by your name. You are mine' - Isaiah 43:1
You did not choose Me but I chose you - John 16:16
See I have engraved you on the palm of My hand - Isaiah 49:16
The central feature of the piece is the bell at Westcott House. Tess wanted to represent the bell as it is with the surrounding Ivy, the bell being still, a focus to the beginning of your day, a reminder that you are special, you are chosen.
