Tess has captured the heavy snow hanging from the fir trees in the forest with the pale winter sunshine - just visible through the mist. Tess has dressed the lady in rose coloured silk to evoke the way women were expected to wear long dresses and at times fine silks and taffetas for everyday wear. Even walking through the forest in the snow!
